The Ibanez AEB5E black acoustic-electric bass guitar hits with crunchy lows whether this thing is plugged or not. But when this baby is used as an unplugged, acoustic bass guitar, the warm tone rings out to match the lows. For $199, this acoustic bass is a steal of a deal. It is great for any introductory bass player or even a 6 dtring guitarist looking to mix it up and learn a new instrument. It’s sounds fantastic, but don’t expect it to sound or play like a Gibson. This black bass guitar rocks Fishman Sonicore pickups and the Ibanez AEQ-SST Shape Shifter preamp with an onboard tuner to provide premium low-end warmth and tuning control and ease. Ivorex II nuts, which are stronger and more durable than bone present brilliant highs and more pronounced lows, with less mid-range—an ideal setup for amplification. This black acoustic bass guitar provides that great warm and fleshy sound which can ties numerous instruments and meloides together, its fantastic for acoustic jam outs with friends. When amplified, the Ibanez AEB5E bass guitar uses its pickup and preamp to pump the tone and offer the thump you need at whatever volume. I’d recommend this guitar for beginner bassists or someone who just wants to goof around on it, but it’s definitely not a gigger.

I am 15 years old and in a metal band. When i got this guitar, it was the missing link in creating heavy music. The sound so heavy and dark, and the quality is at it’s perfection. The price is one to die for and with a good amp you can rock out.
I bought this guitar as a Christmas present to myself, and I’m very pleased with it. I use a Digitech SP50 modeling pedal and this guitar works perfectly with it. It’s solid but not a backbreaker like other Les Paul models, but still delivers a great consistent quality sound. I have no trouble keeping it in tune, though I did put new Super Slinky strings on it as soon as I got it. I play in a church worship band every Tuesday and Friday and this guitar has turned a lot of heads both in the band and the audience. Many people have noted it’s great sound and sleek looks. I’m 100% satisfied. Great job Epiphone!
