Buy this the Fender CD60CE black acoustic guitar if you are looking for an inexpensive acoustic-electric guitar to jam out with friends, practice on, maybe do an open mic night or two at some coffee shops, and perhaps maybe even do little laid back recording with. If you don’t want to spend more then $269.99 on a black acoustic guitar, than you will love this fender. When I tested it out I really liked how it played, it really was not that bad for an introductory level guitar. It has decent action and the sound quality is not too shabby for the low price tag. Actually, looking back I must say that the action was a tad bit too high for my taste. This is easily solved by a trip to you local family owned music store. Just take it in and they can lower it to meet your playing needs. I would really recommend doing this for the beginner playing, because the higher the action, the difficult it is to play.

So how does it sound? Well unplugged it has a crispy bright tone, it was rather surprising to hear consider it’s rocking a laminate top. The highs sound fantastic but I was little disappointed with low-end projection, definitely look more towards a larger jumbo if that deep low sound is more your style. When you plug this guy in you should be surprised to see that the 3 dial equalizer is pretty darn responsive and with minimal effort you can find yourself a good sound to suit your play style. This Fender black acoustic guitar also comes with an on-board tuner which is another huge perk for newbies who cannot tune by ear or pros who are just too lazy to and if you were wondering, I was told it does stay in tune quite well. Obviously this guitar should not be played with the expectations that it will sound like a Martin or a Taylor, it just doesn’t. But for the $269.99 price tag, the fender quality name, the look, and the sound cannot be beat.

I would really recommend this guitar for a beginner or an experienced musician who wants a cheap guitar he can beat up and take into situations you wouldn’t otherwise take your real baby (your Martin/Taylor/Gibson).
